Restored 17th Century Lakeland farmhouse at the foot of Wallabarrow Crag, now opened as a camping barn for up to 10 with additional accommodation for larger groups.

Ground floor
consists of a large living area with wood-burning stove and well equipped kitchen with hot water.

First floor comprises a large sleeping area with stack of 10 mattresses and beautiful view of the fells.

Toilet and coin-operated shower are in separate buildings.

Secluded garden and picnic area in newly planted orchard with lovely views. Available all year round, individual or sole use bookings.


Free range eggs, Galloway beef, Herdwick lamb and English Lakes luxury ice cream are usually available to visitors.

Delightful 15 minute woodland walk to the Newfield Inn, serving cask ales and good food.

Turner Hall Camp Site
Open March - October (weather permitting)
Bookings taken for D of E Expeditions & large organised groups. We also welcome other campers to pitch up & pay on a daily basis, without booking.

Footpaths from the site lead to a variety of Lakeland fells including Dowcrag, Harter Fell and Coniston Old Man.

With spectacular views this site is popular with walkers, climbers, mountain bikers and families.
