High Wallabarrow Cottage
Click for a mapHigh Wallabarrow is a traditional 450 acre Lakeland hill farm owned by the National Trust, situated at the end of a quiet no-through road with only footpaths and bridleways beyond. High Wallabarrow Farm holiday cottage adjoins the farmhouse and is nestled below the impressive Wallabarrow Crag which has several climbing routes of varying difficulty. There is delightful walking from the front door on to the fells, through forest and woodland and along secluded river banks.
The Newfield Inn can be reached by a beautiful 15 minute walk through bluebell woods and across stepping stones or stone bridge over the Duddon River. The Inn is open all day serving great food and local beers.
Wildlife and landscape conservation are priorities at this National Trust farm, which lies at the end of the metalled road. A perfect location for families, walkers, cyclists, bird-watchers and anyone needing to relax. Visitors are free to roam over 450 acres of farm woodlands, intakes and pastures.
The cottage has an efficient central heating and hot water system.

Chapel Cottage
Click for a mapRefurbished in 2007, Chapel Cottage is lovely throughout with fantastic views over the Duddon Valley.
Several walks can be made straight from the front door of Chapel Cottage and walking guides are provided for visitors to use. Part of the Cottage was a former Wesleyan Chapel that dates back to 1842. The beautiful mature gardens back onto established woodland and have superb views of Caw and Stickle fells.

Parking for two cars by the cottage via a shared driveway.(please note that the driveway is steep and should be taken slowly; Chapel Cottage is not suitable for sports cars or cars with low ground clearance).<

Bobbin Mill
Click for a mapUlpha Bobbin Mill consists of the owner's house and three holiday cottages that are a conversion of the old mill buildings. There is a large shared garden area, fenced on the road side and open to a fast-flowing beck on the other, with woodland behind. All the cottages have a ground-floor entrance, Turners being the lower cottage in the picture at right, and Coopers and Brackens having access from the garden behind the old chimney. All the cottages have open fires and full oil-fired central heating and are furnished to a high standard with fitted carpets, comfortable furniture and fully-fitted kitchens.
Off-road parking is available.

'Coopers'
Sleeps five, one large bedroom with king-size bed, one double room, and one single. The sitting room has wonderful views up the Duddon Valley and has a stereo, television and video.The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The bath has an overhead shower and there is a separate W.C.A washing machine and tumble drier are situated in the utility area by the entrance, a facility shared with Turners cottage. It has a small garden area of its own, and access to the remainder.

'Turners'
Sleeps four people with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The cosy sitting room has an extensive library and satellite reception for the television. The kitchen has a microwave, electric cooker with hood and extractor fan and a fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, hand-basin and W.C.There is a shared utility room with Coopers.

'Brackens'
Sleeps two people with one double bedroom, a large sitting room and lovely views of the garden. The kitchen is fully-fitted including a microwave and cooker with hood and extractor fan. There is a private utility room containing a washing machine. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, hand-basin, and W.C. Brackens has a stereo radio/cd player, television and video and, as with all the cottages, it has the use of a large garden area.General Information:
Bed linen and towels are provided (and kitchen towels, though you may prefer to bring your own), as are basic detergents and cleaning materials.
There is a small charge for logs and coal, though both are stored on site. Dogs are welcome but this is limited to one dog per cottage, and a small extra charge will apply.
Smoking is not allowed in the cottages at Bobbin Mill.
