![]() 16 walks where sheep out number peopleThe Duddon Valley, with its neighbouring areas of Broughton Mills and Woodland, is proud to be a Hidden Britain Centre and to bring you "Three Jewels of Lakeland".The result of a community project funded under the Hidden Britain initiative, with additional support from the Lake District National Park Sustainable Development Fund, "Three Jewels of Lakeland" is a handy pack containing 16 local walks and a complementary booklet. Each of the walk cards includes a map, a clear route description and essential information, including approximate distances, times and where to park, to help you choose a suitable walk. The cards are illustrated with photos and drawings - all by local residents - of the views, flora, fauna and structures you can see along the route. Additional points of interest are noted separately for those who wish to know more about the route to add to their enjoyment of the walk.
